How much does detailing cost?

Pricing depends on vehicle size and package. Exterior: $125–$175. Interior: $150–$200. Full Detail: $250–$350. Add-ons like Clay Bar Decontamination, Headlight Restoration, and Exterior Paint Polish are available at additional cost.

Is there a first-time discount?

What's Included in a Full Service Detail? A Package-by-Package Breakdown

When you're choosing a detailing package, the names don't always tell you what you're getting. "Exterior" sounds straightforward — but does it include the wheels? Does "Full Detail" mean everything, or are there gaps? This is a complete breakdown of what's included in each package at Aurelian Automotive, so you can choose with confidence.

The Three Packages

We offer three core packages: Exterior, Interior, and Full Detail. Each is priced by your vehicle's size class — Sedan, SUV, or Large SUV / Truck / Luxury — and every package is performed at your location, anywhere within 35 miles of central Austin — including Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, and Georgetown.

Exterior Package — Surface Restoration

The Exterior package is exactly what it sounds like: everything outside the cabin. It's ideal if your interior is clean but your paint needs attention, or if you want to refresh your vehicle's appearance before a sale or event.

Here's what's included:

pH-neutral hand foam bath using the two-bucket method
Iron and tar decontamination of paint
Wheel faces, barrels, and calipers hand-cleaned
Spray sealant with 3-month gloss protection
Tire dressing, trim revival, and glass polished

Pricing ranges from $125 (Sedan) to $175 (Large SUV / Truck / Luxury). The service takes 1–2 hours.

Interior Package — Cabin Preservation

The Interior package focuses entirely on the cabin. It's the right choice if your paint is in good shape but your interior needs deep cleaning — pet hair, spills, odors, or just the daily wear of a family vehicle.

Here's what's included:

Full extraction vacuum, including seat rails and crevices
Steam sanitation of touch points and vents
Leather cleansed and conditioned by hand
Fabric shampoo and hot-water extraction as needed
Streak-free interior glass and ozone odor neutralizing

Pricing ranges from $150 (Sedan) to $200 (Large SUV / Truck / Luxury). The service takes 1–2 hours.

Full Detail — Complete Preservation

The Full Detail is our most comprehensive package. It includes everything from both the Exterior and Interior packages, plus several upgrades that take the finish to the next level.

In addition to everything above, the Full Detail includes:

Full paint prep and surface refinement
Tires, rims, and calipers meticulously deglazed and hand-finished
6-month ceramic-infused paint sealant (double the protection of the Exterior package)
Engine bay dressed
Door jambs detailed

Pricing ranges from $250 (Sedan) to $350 (Large SUV / Truck / Luxury). The service takes 2–3 hours.

When Are Add-Ons Worth It?

Add-ons let you customize your detail without upgrading to a higher package. Here's when each one is worth considering:

Clay Bar Decontamination — $55 to $75

If you run your hand over your paint and it feels rough or gritty — even after a wash — you have bonded contaminants embedded in the clear coat. A clay bar lifts iron particles, tar, and overspray that a normal wash can't remove. It's worth it if your vehicle is exposed to highway driving, construction zones, or tree sap. Can be added to any package.

Headlight Restoration — $150 flat

If your headlights are cloudy, yellowed, or hazy, you're losing nighttime visibility and the vehicle looks older than it is. Headlight restoration removes the oxidation and restores clarity. Flat rate for any vehicle size.

Exterior Paint Polish — $200 to $300

If your paint has swirl marks from automatic car washes, light scratches, or oxidation that makes the color look dull, a paint polish restores a like-new gloss. Only available with Exterior and Full Detail packages, since the paint needs to be prepped and decontaminated first.

How to Choose

If your interior is clean and you just want the outside refreshed: Exterior. If your paint is fine but the cabin needs work: Interior. If you want the whole vehicle — inside, outside, engine bay, and door jambs — brought to its best: Full Detail.
